GCDA will be soon becoming a member of the global urban observatory network of UNCHS (United Nations Centre for Human Settlements) by opening a Local Urban Observatory on approval by UNCHS. The urban observatory system is a world wide information and capacity building network by the U.N.Habitat.

The purpose is to help local authorities to improve the collection, management, analysis and use of information/data in for manipulating effective urban policy.

Understand how cities work on social economic systems and to use that for local action planning.
